FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES, EFFURUN (FUPRE): EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF EXTERNAL AUDITOR

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) invites applications from suitably qualified and reputable Audit Firms for appointment as External Auditors of the University. The appointment shall be for an initial period of one (1) year, renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance. The maximum continuous tenure shall not exceed five (5) years.

Interested firms should submit fifteen (15) bound copies of their Expression of Interest in a sealed envelope clearly marked 'EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF EXTERNAL AUDITOR – FUPRE' on the top left-hand corner to the Registrar. Submissions must be received on or before 12:00 noon, Friday, 14th August, 2026.

Interested firms must provide: 1. Evidence of registration/renewal with the Office of the Auditor-General for the Federation (OAuGF) for 2026. 2. Evidence of registration with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN). 3. Certificate of Incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and Forms CAC2 & CAC7. 4. Valid Practicing License for the Firm and key audit personnel. 5. Valid Tax Clearance Certificates for the last three (3) years i.e. 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. 6. VAT Registration Certificate and evidence of past VAT remittance. 7. Tax Identification Number (TIN). 8. Compliance Certificates for ITF, PENCOM and NSITF. 9. BPP Interim Registration Report (IRR) or valid Certificate on the National Database of Federal Contractors. 10. Evidence of membership with relevant Professional Bodies: ICAN and/or ANAN. 11. Evidence of a minimum of ten (10) years’ cognate experience in auditing, with at least three (3) assignments in Institutions of Higher Learning. 12. Comprehensive Company Profile and Organizational Structure. 13. CVs of key audit personnel to be deployed, showing qualifications and relevant experience. 14. Audited Financial Statements for the last three (3) years: 2023, 2024, 2025. 15. Bank Reference Letter indicating financial capability. 16. A sworn affidavit indicating compliance with various legal and ethical standards.
