AFRICAN REINSURANCE CORPORATION: REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF WATERPROOFING FELT AT AFRICA RE, HEADQUARTERS BUILDING LAGOS

OBJECTIVES: AFRICAN REINSURANCE CORPORATION (hereinafter referred to as “the Client”) invites qualified, experienced, and reputable vendors and contractors to submit proposals for the removal of existing roof waterproofing felt and supply & installation of new waterproofing felt — Africa Re Head office, Lagos, located at Plot 1679, Karimu-Kotun Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. The primary objective of this project is to restore and preserve the structural integrity, aesthetic quality, and weatherproofing performance of the roof concrete slap of the African Reinsurance Corporation’s (Africa Re) Head Office building in Lagos, Nigeria. The objective of this Request for Proposal is to select a competent contractor to: • Safely remove and dispose of the existing, degraded waterproofing felt on the roof; • Prepare the roof deck/substrate to receive new waterproofing works; • Supply and install new, high-quality waterproofing membrane in accordance with the technical specifications set out in this RFP; and • Deliver a fully water-tight, tested, and warrantied roofing system with minimal disruption to ongoing office operations.
